Inspired by a lifelong passion for learning and the belief that education empowers individuals to become their very best, Renee Tyer-Goodwin, P.E, founded Goodwin Global Publishing, LLC after a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in engineering, business ownership, and entrepreneurship. While her professional journey began in the oil and gas industry, an unexpected opportunity to write children’s books led her to establish a publishing company dedicated to helping young readers develop character, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. She believes, “Your education belongs to YOU, to encourage YOU, to become that special YOU, to share with others.”

Ms. Tyer-Goodwin earned bachelor’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University before completing a Master of Business Administration at The University of Texas at Tyler. Determined to gain experience across every aspect of the energy industry, she worked in offshore drilling, production, reservoir engineering, and business management before founding TP Exploration, Inc., which she successfully owned and operated for 30 years. She later expanded her expertise into civil engineering, contributing to water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout East Texas.

Although she had dreamed of writing children’s books since early adulthood, life’s path led her first through engineering and entrepreneurship. Following the closure of her engineering business in 2020, the timing finally felt right to pursue that dream. Inspired by the playful personality of her beloved Cane Corso, GG, she took a leap of faith and transformed decades of ideas into the award-winning GG Life Lesson Storybook Series ®. Through engaging stories, she encourages beginning readers to embrace teamwork, kindness, responsibility, respect for nature, and confidence while discovering the joy of learning.

Today, Ms. Tyer-Goodwin serves as author, publisher, and advocate for early childhood literacy. She regularly visits schools, libraries, churches, and community organizations to inspire young readers. Her books, including GG Cleans House: Learning Teamwork and GG Works the Honeybees – Helping Nature, have earned both the Mom’s Choice Awards Silver Award and the Family Choice Awards Gold Award and have been showcased at internationally recognized book expos in New York, Frankfurt, Bologna, London, Los Angeles, and other venues.

Among her proudest professional accomplishments is receiving the Aggie Women Legacy Award from Texas A&M University in 2021 for her pioneering contributions to engineering, including becoming the first female offshore drilling engineer supervisor for British Petroleum in the Gulf. Residing in Tyler, Texas, Ms. Tyer-Goodwin continues to expand the GG Life Lesson Storybook Series ® while pursuing her vision of bringing GG’s educational adventures to animated programming, inspiring future generations to learn, grow, and believe in themselves.
